Celebrate Small-Town Texas
Nothing sums up small-town Texas better than the glow of stadium lights in the
distance on a Friday night. Actually sit in the bleachers and you'll find a
world where Starbucks, Katy Freeway/LBJ Freeway/Mopac/Loop 410 gridlock, and
luxury SUVs parked in front of cookie cutter homes don't exist.
Where Dreams Die Hard: A Small American Town And Its Six-man Football Team,
by two-time Edgar Award-winning writer Carlton Stowers was released on
August 16, 2005. The book covers a six-man high-school football team and the
town of Penelope,
located about 70 miles southeast of Dallas.
